The next Consultative Committee on the last remaining Covid-19 measures has been postponed for the third time, and is now scheduled to take place on 20 May, according to the cabinet of Prime Minister Alexander De Croo.

Federal Health Minister Frank Vandenbroucke previously mentioned that the Committee would meet on Friday 6 May (which was confirmed by De Croo’s cabinet), but he indicated on Flemish television that he had "spoken out of turn," and that Friday did not fit into everyone’s agenda.

On Tuesday, De Croo’s cabinet confirmed to The Brussels Times that the meeting will now take place on Friday 20 May. The meeting is expected to be one of the last ones, but has already been postponed three times.

At the end of April, Vandenbroucke also indicated that the Committee would likely remove the "coronavirus barometer," which is currently still switched to code yellow.

In that case, all remaining restrictions, including masks in public transport, would be lifted.
