In the investigation into the fatal shooting of a young man in the passenger seat of a car in the Brussels municipality of Molenbeek on 18 April, the suspected perpetrator was arrested on Wednesday 1 June.

On Monday 18 April 2022, at around 20:40, a man (20) was shot dead in the passenger seat of a vehicle in Rue Dubois-Thorn in Molenbeek. The Brussels Public Prosecutor's Office opened an investigation for manslaughter and put the Federal Police's Homicide Division in charge of the case.

The investigating judge and the Public Prosecutor's Office came to the scene, as did a medical examiner, a ballistics expert and the Federal Police's laboratory. This led to the identification of the suspected culprit, and an arrest warrant was issued.
